the horsepower infographics... year by year, how drastically the power in the Camaro, Mustang, and Corvette have changed

The base engine for the Mustang II was a 2.3-liter four-cylinder rated at a weak 102 horsepower. The optional 2.8-liter V6 was rated marginally better at 119 horsepower.

and yeah, the Corvette was drastically let down by it's creator in the mid 70s, a 1977 Dodge Aspen could kick it's ass (77 Corvette, it's a fact, look it up). In 1982 you could get one with a hatchback, from the factory.
